In conjunction with Sam Lewitt’s Kunsthalle Basel exhibition More Heat Than Light (April 1–May 29, 2016) a symposium entitled The Whole Cool System will be held at the NCCR Iconic Criticism eikones on May 27, 2016. Social production is defined today by attempts to steer economic and political life as information processing systems. This symposium focuses on how art could possibly engage, launch a critique, or simply articulate the mechanisms of the entanglement of information systems with the production of social life.
