The Basel based graphic designer Ludovic Balland presents his newest publication American Readers at Home, published by Scheidegger & Spiess. On a road trip through the USA, Ludovic Balland investigated the news consumption habits of the country’s readers and discovered the overwhelming role of the media in public perception. Balland’s latest work portrays the diverse American society and its desire for change before and after the presidential election of 2016 in the form of interviews and photographs.
In conversation with Elena Filipovic, director of Kunsthalle Basel, Ludovic Balland talks about his experiences in the USA and the making of the book. The conversation will be in English and German.
