On Thursday, March 28, the Stickclub on tour stopped at Kunsthalle Basel and enlivened the exhibition GROWTH by Klára Hosnedlová. Between objects made of cotton thread, linen, and flax twine, small and large embroidery works were created, inspired by the detailed embroideries of the artist herself. For one evening, Kunsthalle Basel and the Stickclub on tour by IfTF (Institut für Textiles Forschen) revived a traditional craft and reinterpreted it in a contemporary way. The audience proved that embroidery can inspire a wide variety of people to give old fabrics and clothing a new life.
