Kralle / Claw, 2024, is a silver jewelry by Tobias Spichtig, created on the occasion of his solo exhibition Everything No One Ever Wanted 2024 at Kunsthalle Basel.
The edition includes a resin-coated glove and an intricately designed silver ring that serves both as a sculptural object and wearable jewelry. The silver ring evokes the long, scraggy fingers of a figure that are so characteristic of Spichtig’s paintings. This combination allows the exhibition to transcend its physical space and temporal boundaries.
Buyers get the opportunity to become part of this artistic alliance by wearing the silver jewelry. This collection was created in collaboration with goldsmith and designer Sebastian Fässler, ensuring that each piece is both artistically significant and finely crafted. Each of the seven unique objects in this edition features personalized engravings by Spichtig, including the artist’s initials, and the specific edition number, adding an extra layer of intimate authenticity and value to each piece.
By merging wearable art with traditional sculpture, this edition not only honors the themes presented in Spichtig’s exhibition but also invites collectors to carry a piece of the exhibition with them, thus perpetuating the artistic dialogue in daily life.
The Edition is limited to 7 + 3 AP.
