Glistening. Unique. Raphael Hefti created twelve hand-poured bismuth pieces (plus 3 AP) on behalf of Kunsthalle Basel and in relation to his exhibition Salutary Failures. Each is a unique work of art, each is signed on the back, and each is reminiscent of the impressive panoramic Polycrystalline Horticulture, 2020, similarly made from molten bismuth hardened into a boldly iridescent landscape. Except instead of being 600 kilos, each of the pieces in the series Polycrystals made for Kunsthalle Basel are a far more portable, domestic size and weight. Each comes in a custom box.
